Being the parent your child needs you to be

I was afraid of failing as a parent. I was determined not to fail as a parent.

Everything I did with my children growing up was determined by how I defined my measurable success as a parent.

Problem is, I was parenting from a place of being the parent I thought I needed to be, instead of being the parent my children needed me to be.

These are two critically different behaviors.
