Cycling for Recovery 2016 (CFR ’16) was a 64-day, 2500 mile cycling trip from Santa Monica, CA along the length of Route 66 to Chicago, IL and on to Detroit, MI. CFR ’16 began on Saturday, July 30 and ended Thursday, September 18.

Along the way, Dave Cooke made presentations to churches, community organizations, and treatment facilities to over five hundred people. He also connected with numerous people on the route who stopped an interacted with him while he was cycling.  The opportunity to interact and share stories, while learning from others had a profound impact on the entire experience.

The mission for Cycling for Recovery Rides are to provide awareness to the issue of addiction in our communities while bringing a message of love and hope to those who are struggling with the issue of addiction in their life.
