Yes, I wrote a book. And, I took it off the shelf.
Let me tell you why you cannot buy new copies of it anymore.
There was a time where I felt I needed to share my son’s addiction story in order to tell my story. While telling my story, I shared many of the painful experiences I went through as a result of my son’s addiction. I didn’t realize it at first, but I shared a lot of honest, harsh things about my son in his addiction.
After I thought about it awhile, I realized two things:
- My story, the 100Pedals message, is not about my son’s addiction, it is about how a painful adversity became a wonderful God driven, transformational gift;
- My son’s story is not mine to tell. His journey and his experiences with his addiction in his life is his to tell when he is ready.
The real story of 100Pedals is about being the parent of a child with an illness. It is about being a loving, committed parent working through a very difficult, challenging adversity in his life. And, it is about the guidance and strength I received through my ever growing relationship with my Father in Heaven.
The 100Pedals story is here to inspire parents and those going through their difficult time to find hope and love in talking with and listening to God. This is the story I am sharing today. It is a great and wonderful story. It is the best of stories. And, it is the story that has completely and wonderfully transformed my life; and, it has brought me peace and clarity even in the most difficult and troubling times.
Someday I may write a new book. When I do, you will be the first to know. Until then, I am going to continue to celebrate the gift that is my life, all the wonderful blessings that come with it, and the loving support I get from my Father in heaven when things get rough — that’s the story I am happily sharing! I am hoping you like it and will be inspired by it!
